چکیده

It is the purpose of this paper to investigate data fitting attributes exponential integral isotherm, which was first derived by Ruthven in 2004 describe adsorption at gas–solid interfaces. The a variant virial incorporates two parameters Langmuir isotherm and has an expandable mathematical structure. lain dormant for nearly 20 years. This fact may seem surprising considering versatility as will be shown work. A slightly modified form called Ruthven–virial used work interpret previously published aqueous-phase data. observed that capable accurately tracking experimental isotherms with without apparent plateau. Freundlich good describing plateau, while excels combines individual strengths into single model. Furthermore, it performance two-parameter comparable three-parameter Sips isotherm. hidden gem practical alternative equations correlation hyperbolic isotherms. We hope findings presented here inspire research community evaluate modeling contaminant aqueous-solid

Multiscale estimation of the Freundlich adsorption isotherm

Adsorption plays an important role in water and wastewater treatment. The analysis and design of processes that involve adsorption rely on the availability of isotherms that describe these adsorption processes. Adsorption isotherms are usually estimated empirically from measurements of the adsorption process variables. Unfortunately, these measurements are usually contaminated with errors that ...

A modified Langmuir-Freundlich isotherm model for simulating pH-dependent adsorption effects.

Analytical isotherm equations such as Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms are widely used for modeling adsorption data. However, these isotherms are primarily useful for simulating data collected at a fixed pH value and cannot be easily adapted to simulate pH-dependent adsorption effects. Therefore, most adsorption studies currently use numerical surface-complexation models (SCMs), which are more...

Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption isotherms and kinetics for the removal of Tartrazine from aqueous solutions using hen feathers.

Tartrazine, a yellow menace, is widely being used in cosmetics, foodstuffs, medicines and textile. It is carcinogenic and also catalyzes allergic problems. In the present work the ability to remove Tartrazine from aqueous solutions has been studied using waste material-hen feathers, as adsorbent. Effects of pH, concentration of the dye, temperature and adsorbent dosage have been studied. Equili...
